The Grand Priory of England and Wales invites Postulants, Members of the Order and their guests to this event, the programme for which appears below.
The Vigil Service will be held in the RC Parish Church of St Richard of Chichester, Cawley Road, Chichester, PO19 1XB, followed by a fork supper in The Sherburne Room, The Bishop’s Palace, Canon Lane, Chichester, PO19 1PX
The Investiture Service will take place in The Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity, followed by lunch at The Assembly Room, North Street, Chichester, PO19 1LQ
Friday 27th April
6.30pm Vigil Service at The Parish Church of St Richard of Chichester.
Attendance at the Vigil service is mandatory for those being invested into the Order or being promoted to equestrian rank (Knight or Dame).
7.30pm Fork Supper at The Bishop’s Palace.
Saturday 28th April
9.15am Deputy Marshals report to the Marshal in the Cathedral.
9.30am Other Ceremonial Officers report to the Marshal.
9.45am Postulants, promotees and those receiving awards report to the Marshal.
10.30am Members assemble and robe in preparation to process.
11.00am Service of Investiture.

Preacher: The Rt Revd Dr Martin Warner MA, PhD, Bishop of Chichester.
12.30pm Drinks at The Assembly Room.
1.00pm Lunch at The Assembly Room.
Those not taking part in the procession are asked to be seated by 10.45am.
Vigil service - Mantles of the Order only, no insignia. Gentlemen are requested to wear Dark Lounge suit and Order tie. Ladies should wear dark clothing. Miniatures and neck decorations may be worn at dinner afterwards.
Investiture service - Mantles of the Order, neck decorations and full size insignia. Gentlemen are requested to wear the Uniform of the Order/Morning Dress/Military Uniform/Highland Dress or a Dark Lounge suit with the tie of the Order. Cordons to be worn only with uniforms or Highland Dress. Breast stars must not be worn on lounge suits; one breast star only on Morning Dress. Ladies should wear dark formal dress of three-quarter length or longer, with sleeves. Mantilla and black gloves may also be worn. Ladies accompanying gentlemen in uniform may wear cordons if their rank entitles them to do so, as may any lady of appropriate rank who is also a Commander of a Commandery.
A collection will be taken during the service. There will be no collection at the Vigil.
An envelope collection will take place during lunch in support of the St Lazarus Charitable Trust.

Cheques should be payable to ORDER OF ST LAZARUS, and replies must be received no later than Thursday 12th April. Numbers are limited to 60 for the Vigil Supper at The Bishop’s Palace, so early booking is recommended.
Cancellations may be made without penalty up to Monday 9th April, after which date no refund will be given.
