THE COMMANDERY OF ARAGON - A BRIEF HISTORY

Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Middlesex and Essex are the main areas served by this Commandery.

Aragon is one of the oldest commanderies within the Grand Priory, having been formed in the early 1970s. The present Commander is Chevalier Roger D’Elia, KLJ.

The Commandery normally holds its Annual Service of Investiture at the Church of St Mary's in Hertingfordbury, Hertfordshire, on the last Sunday in October, followed by a banquet at The White Horse Hotel, almost opposite the church.

The Commandery holds an AGM every spring at The Salisbury Arms, Hertford, when charities for the year are chosen.   This year they are Lepra and Debra.  The Isabel Hospice is also supported by participation in its Lottery.
