On Saturday 14th March, 2009 the Grand Bailiwick of England & Wales was privileged to welcome the Grand Master H E The Most Honourable Don Carlos Gereda de Borbon, to preside over the Installation of Chevalier Charles Holloway as Bailiff and Chevalier Robert Morrow as Deputy Bailiff. The retiring Bailiff H E Chevalier Peter Fotheringham was made Bailiff Emeritus. The Service was held at the Guard’s Chapel in London, near to Buckingham Palace. In attendance were the Grand Bailiff H E The Lord St John of Fawsley PC and H E The Earl Ferrers, Grand Prior of The Grand Priory of England & Wales along with representatives from each of the 12 Commanderies of the Grand Bailiwick and representatives from the Grand Priory of England & Wales, Scotland and Austria. The Investiture was held under the Banner of the Commandery of Londinium in which 4 postulants were received into the Order. A Celebratory Reception and Luncheon was held in the Officers Mess,

On Saturday 26th September, several members of the Order and guests met Chev Leslie Grout who conducted a tour of Windsor Castle and the Chapel. A most enjoyable visit and a joy to have a guide with such a wealth of knowledge at his finger tips. The visit was completed with lunch in a nearby inn.

The year concluded similar to last year with a Joint Advent and Carol Service with the ‘Grand Priory – Commandery of London’. Dame Margaret Mitchelson gave one of the Readings and afterwards festive refreshments and wine was provided jointly by Chevalier Andrew Blackshaw ad Dame Mervyn Redding.
