Cumbria Commandery Church Service and Renewal of Knightly Vows

On Saturday 1st April 2023 members of Cumbria Commandery, together with Commandery members from King Offa, London & Westminster, The Marches and The Grand Bailiwick of Scotland joined together to hold the Cumbria Commandery Church Service and Renewal of Knightly Vows at 11.00am in St.

Patrick Church, Preston Patrick. This beautiful Church has an iconic illuminated Cross on top of the tower, which can be seen by passing traffic on the nearby M6 motorway.
The service was conducted by the Commandery Chaplain the Reverend Canon Andrew Horsfall SChLJ. The sermon was given by the Reverend Sandy MacDonald SChLJ CMLJ, Chaplain-General of the Grand Bailiwick of Scotland. To accompany the service the organ was played by Mr. Charles
Edmondson.

A celebratory lunch followed in the Crooklands Hotel, Crooklands. At lunch the Commander Dr the Chevalier Richard Shepherd KLJ presented Mr Michael Hardie, North West England and Isle of Man Community Partnership Manager of The Leprosy Mission, with a cheque for The Leprosy Mission on behalf of the Commandery.
