The King Offa Commandery Carol Service was a great success and a very happy occasion despite very windy conditions brought about by Storm Darragh. It was held at the ancient church of St Mary Magdalene in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.
The Commandery was honoured to have Colonel Nicholas Hile, a Deputy Lieutenant in Nottinghamshire, with us. He kindly presented a substantial charitable donation on behalf of the Commandery to Mrs Sue Wells OMLJ of the Nepal Leprosy Trust.
Several Civic Leaders honoured us with their presence along with members of the Order and friends. Those supporting this event kindly donated many hundreds of pairs of warm winter socks to again support homeless people.
