‘Roaring 20s’ Evening - King Offa Commandery

On Saturday 14th March 2026, King Offa Commandery held a ‘Roaring Twenties’ musical evening with celebratory dinner at Cleve Lodge, Long Eaton, Derbyshire.

We were honoured to have Cllr Mr Christopher Adegoke, Vice Chairman of Nottinghamshire County Council, and Cllr Mrs Linda Tift, Chairman of Newark and Sherwood District Council, accompanied by Cllr Mrs Celia Brooks, with us.

Soloists included Dr Andrew Halfpenny who sang ‘The Land of Might-Have-Been’ by Ivor Novello. Miss Rosie Poffley OMLJ sang ‘Me and My Shadow’ by Al Jolson. Those present enjoyed a delicious 1920s themed meal.

A lovely entertaining evening in good company with plenty of singing that raised valuable funds for Leprosy Charities.
