Vigil service & champagne reception - Commandery of London & Westminster

Friday, 15 October, 2021

As we gradually return to some sense of normality, I am sure that we are all looking forward to this event, which will be the first opportunity for the Commandery to meet properly for some time. We also remind you that attendance at the Vigil Service is mandatory for those being admitted to the Order or being promoted to equestrian rank (Knight or Dame).

Our Assistant Chaplain, Fr James Elston, has generously agreed to host the Service at St Pancras Old Church (Pancras Rd, London NW1 1UL). The Service will begin at 6pm. The worship will be enriched by a choir.

There will be a champagne reception after the service, including canapés and other refreshment, provided at the rear of this beautiful historic Church, which will allow an opportunity for members to socialise and meet the new Commandery Officers. To cover the cost of this, all those attending are asked to pay £40, per person.

Knights & Confreres: Dark Lounge Suit with the Tie of the Order or a Dark Tie (no insignia)

Dames & Consoeurs: Black formal dress of three-quarter length or longer (no insignia)

All Members: Church Mantle

To reserve your place(s), please email the Secretary at [at] giving your name and the names of any guests who are very welcome to attend with you. So that we can arrange the right level of catering, please confirm your attendance by Thursday 30th September 2021.

Please also transfer £40 (per person) to cover the cost of post-service refreshments. Bank transfers may be sent to the “Commandery of London and Westminster” account (HSBC: Account number – 22133717; Sort code – 40-06-29), using your name as the reference.
