King Offa Commandery is pleased to present an evening of songs from the Great War and a three course dinner on Saturday 26th March 2022 (6.30 for 7.15pm).  This event will take place in the Ballroom, Cleve Lodge, 23 Elm Avenue, Long Eaton, NG10 4LR.


Mess Dress or Uniform, or White Tie & Tails, or Black Tie & Dinner Jacket.  Evening Dress for the ladies.  Miniatures to be worn.  Those feeling adventurous may wear costumes from the Great War.

With thanks to our Senior Chaplain, Fr Paul Bagott SChLJ, this year’s Commandery Carol Service will take place at St Cuthbert’s Church, Philbeach Gardens, London, SW5 9EB on Wednesday 15th December at 7pm. We will be joining members of St Cuthbert’s parish for this event – and will be led by their choir; as well as having a number of opportunities to join in with congregational carols.

The service itself is free to attend, but there will be a collection during the service to support the parish and the work of the Order. After the service, a light warm supper will be served, along...


The Commander, Chevalier Mario Rizzardi, cordially invites you to attend the Commandery’s Carol Service on Sunday 5th December 2021 at 12.15pm. The service, conducted by our Senior Chaplain, the Reverend Kevin Charles and our Chaplain, the Venerable (Air Vice-Marshal) Robin Turner, will be held at St Wilfrid’s Church, Kirkby in Ashfield, NG17 8LA.
There will be a Sherry Reception in the Church Hall at 11.15am to which everyone is invited.
As well as enjoying the Nativity story and the traditional Carols, this year there will also be the baptism of a future Postulant.

The Investiture Service will take place in St Paul’s Church, 32A Wilton Place, London, SW1X 8SH, followed by a reception and lunch at The Cavalry & Guards Club, 127 Piccadilly, London, W1J 7PX.

As we gradually return to some sense of normality, I am sure that we are all looking forward to this event, which will be the first opportunity for the Commandery to meet properly for some time. We also remind you that attendance at the Vigil Service is mandatory for those being admitted to the Order or being promoted to equestrian rank (Knight or Dame).

The Commander of King Offa, Chevalier Mario Rizzardi KLJ MMLJ, invites you to attend a Service of Investiture with Annual Celebration & Renewal of Knightly Vows, being held at the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene, Newark-on-Trent on Saturday, 31st July 2021, and followed by a celebratory banquet at The Best Western Deincourt Hotel.

Revised details and a new booking form may be downloaded here and should be returned to the Commandery Secretary by Friday 23 July at the latest.


Confrères Timothy Cutts and Haydn Rees are arranging a Commandery weekend excursion on Friday 29th - Sunday 31st May 2020 to Aberystwyth and Llanegryn.  Timothy, who works in the National Library of Wales, will organise a tour of the library for the Commandery.  Haydn has arranged a tour of the ancient church of Llanegryn.  We will hold our Commandery AGM on Saturday 30th May in Llanegryn.

We will use/arrange our own transport for the weekend.  Haydn has sourced some accommodation in Llanegryn - click here for details.
