The Commandery of King Offa invites you to attend a Royal Oak Apple Day Celebration, to be held on Saturday 2nd June 2018 in aid of the St Lazarus charity. This event will take place in at the Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene, Church Avenue, Sutton in Ashfield, NG17 2EB.
The celebrations will start at 2:15pm with a concert of music and songs to mark Oak Apple Day performed by the multi-talented Mr Tony Wade. This will be followed by a sparkling Restoration buffet feast of fine English cheeses, delicious breads, celebration pork pies etc. in the Magdalene Centre. There will then be a formal Procession to Church, traditional Oak Branch Ceremony including Hauling the Oak up the Tower and the event with conclude with Festal Evensong for Oak Apple Day.
