1 Oct 2019: Commandery of London & Westminster - Medical elective “debrief” and dinner

The Commandery has recently sponsored a medical student who has just completed her medical elective at the Christian Medical College in Vellore, India.

Jessica has spent her elective working with patients suffering from leprosy and the after-effects of the disease. We have now invited her to come and talk to members of the Commandery and share her experiences. After a short presentation, and questions, we then have a chance to meet Jessica informally over dinner.

20 Jul 2019: Commander’s Garden Party - Commandery of Cumbria

The Commander of Cumbria and Dr. M Shepherd invite you to a Garden Party and Barbecue, which will be held on Saturday, 20th July 2019 from 2pm in aid of the St. Lazarus Charitable Trust and in association with Westmorland MENCAP. A charity dinner in support of the St Lazarus Charitable Trust and Combat Stress will take place at the Cavalry and Guards Club, 127 Piccadilly, London W1J 7PX on Wednesday, 15th May 2019, in the presence of the Grand Master, HE Don Francisco de Borbon von Hardenberg GCLJ, and the Grand Prior of England and Wales, The Most Hon. 12 May 2019: Commandery of Avalon - Choral Evensong

On Sunday 12 May 2019, the members of the Commandery of Avalon will be attending Choral Evensong at Truro cathedral. Although the Commandery of Avalon has included Cornwall since its foundation, this is the first time that a formal Commandery event has taken place in the county, and we hope to raise the profile of the order within Cornwall.

The Grand Priory of England and Wales invites Postulants, Members of the Order and their guests to this event, the programme for which appears here.

The Vigil Service will be held in the Anglican Church of Roath St Margaret, Waterloo Road, Cardiff, followed by dinner at The Cardiff & County Club, Westgate Street, Cardiff CF10 1DA.

The Investiture Service will take place in St David’s Metropolitan (RC) Cathedral, Charles Street CF10 2SF, followed by Lunch at The Cornerstone, Charles Street (directly opposite the Cathedral).
