Commandery of Wales pilgrimage to Walsingham.  The pilgrim itinerary will include Commandery events hosted at both the Anglican Shrine and the Catholic Basilica of Our Lady of Walsingham.  Further details from Chevalier Dr David Woolf KCLJ, Commander of Wales.

 

The Commander of Cumbria and Dr. M Shepherd invite you to a Garden Party and Barbecue, which will be held on Saturday, 20th July 2019 from 2pm in aid of the St. Lazarus Charitable Trust and in association with Westmorland MENCAP. This is our major fund raising event for the Commandery and we would be delighted for your support. You will be made most welcome.

A charity dinner in support of the St Lazarus Charitable Trust and Combat Stress will take place at the Cavalry and Guards Club, 127 Piccadilly, London W1J 7PX on Wednesday, 15th May 2019, in the presence of the Grand Master, HE Don Francisco de Borbon von Hardenberg GCLJ, and the Grand Prior of England and Wales, The Most Hon. The Marquis of Lothian GCLJ, PC, QC, DL.

On Sunday 12 May 2019, the members of the Commandery of Avalon will be attending Choral Evensong at Truro cathedral.  Although the Commandery of Avalon has included Cornwall since its foundation, this is the first time that a formal Commandery event has taken place in the county, and we hope to raise the profile of the order within Cornwall.

The service will start at 4pm. Members will process in their mantles, and the Revd. Louis Baycock, Chaplain of the Commandery, will preach.  Light refreshments will be served in the cathedral afterwards, and it is hoped to arrange a dinner in...

The Vigil Service will be held in the Anglican Church of Roath St Margaret, Waterloo Road, Cardiff, followed by dinner at The Cardiff & County Club, Westgate Street, Cardiff CF10 1DA.

The Investiture Service will take place in St David’s Metropolitan (RC) Cathedral, Charles Street CF10 2SF, followed by Lunch at The Cornerstone, Charles Street (directly opposite the Cathedral).

The Commandery of Cumbria Annual Convocation will be held on Tuesday 2nd April 2019 at 7.00pm in the Longlands Hotel, Tewitfield Marina, Carnforth. LA6 1JH.

Following the Convocation there will be a presentation by Confrere Prof Robert Ashford CLJ, on the work of the St Lazarus Charitable Trust. Prof Ashford is the Hospitaller of the Grand Priory of England & Wales, and also Dean of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine in Glasgow and a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
