Following a service in the Chapel of Peace, the commemoration moved to the Ambulance Service Garden of Remembrance for a service to honour the memory of all those no longer with us who have served in ambulance services in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey, and Gibraltar. On Saturday 14th July 2018 thirty-seven members of the Commandery of Wales and their guests gathered at the ancient church of St Senwyr, within the grounds of Llansannor Court, to celebrate Vespers in anticipation of the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Following the amalgamation of the Order of St Lazarus with the Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in 1668, this has been a day of devotion for our Order. This is the reason why an image of Our Lady of Mount Carmel appears on the reverse face of our insignia.
